The challenge
A US training nonprofit needed an experienced practitioner to teach live classes to its student groups.
It wanted hands-on teaching across SIEM tools, Linux and Kali Linux tooling, AWS and CompTIA certification preparation, each run as its own hourly contract.
What we did
- Taught a SOC analyst class covering Linux, the Splunk and QRadar SIEM tools, and Kali Linux tools such as Wireshark, Nmap and Metasploit.
- Ran cyber security and IT training for the trainer role the client specified: networking, SIEM, Linux and open source security tools.
- Taught AWS concepts to a student group.
- Ran CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Security+ exam preparation with the client's question and answer material.
Outcome
- Four contracts ran in parallel between April 2025 and April 2026.
- The client rated all four contracts 5.0 on Upwork.
